About Me

I have been a therapist, educator and consultant over the last thirty years. My early career as a Montessori teacher and Parenting consultant sparked an interest in human development and psychology. This interest has defined the career path I have taken in my life. After leaving the field of teaching I completed my Masters degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology and continued pursuing my education through additional professional training, certification, licensure, and consultation groups. I am licensed through the State of Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I have worked in a group counseling practice, an EAP agency, in corporate settings (Dell, Motorola, and Samsung) and with students at the University of Texas in Austin. For the last 25 years I have practiced privately in an office setting shared with several other therapists. I enjoy the camaraderie and support we offer one another as professional colleagues.

I have certifications in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Stress Management, and Grief and Loss. The practices of Tai Chi, Mindfulness and Contemplative Photography continue to support and enrich my personal life and work with clients.
